They say that no moment can last forever; I disagree, for when I raise my camera, I can make any moment last for eternity.

And Then,...The Sun!

The sun,...so bright, so beautiful!
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name [is] to be praised. Who [is] like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high, who humbleth [himself] to behold the things that are in heave, and in the earth! He raiseth the poor out og the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; that he may set him with the princes, [even] with the princes of his people. He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD! Psalm 113:3,5-9

HDR

I've recently started getting into HDR photography. HDR is cool cause it can take what might have otherwise been a boring photograph and turn it into a really fun image!

The World In A Dew Drop

Many times we go through our busy lives all focused on the task at hand. Moving swiftly to and fro as we try to get ahead in this busy world. But sometimes we go so fast we miss some of the many beauties in life. Take some time to slow down and look for some of those treasures that God has placed here for us. =)

Evergreen

The Birds are calling to me and
All the leaves I came to love are falling
Ribbons on evergreen, owls that pull them apart
I can hear you singing my funny valentine
Oh you know that breaks my heart
Hold the choirs of winter,
The Birds are calling to me and
All the leaves I came to love

All Blessing, Honor, And Glory

I was reading my Bible and I came across this verse in Revelation. The verse said, "And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, [be] unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever." And I thought to myself, "Wow, that means from the largest elephant, to the smallest spider, from laziest sloth, to the busiest bee ALL things created attribute every blessing, honor, glory, and power as from the Most High!" And yes, I think we all know this to be true, but when was the last time you thought about it?

Macro-Photography Is Pretty Cool

I was recently telling a friend that I was trying to get into macro-photography and she responded by saying it sounded cool, but she didn't fully know what that was. So I decided to put up an example of the difference of macro-photography and "normal" photography. Macro-photography is basically close up photography. In other words, the image recorded on the sensor is either the same size as or bigger than the actual object. Here is an example,…

…the first image is a normal shot with a Nikon 50mm f1.4 lens. The second image is the exact same flower shot with the exact same lens, but its much, much closer. Its an example of macro-photography.

So I go to this Worldview/Apologetics/LearnABunchOfStuff "camp" (it was awesome and totally amazing!) called Summit Ministries, but even there, I couldn't avoid it. I didn't even bring my camera (ok so I forgot it at the last minute). But I was still asked to do a photo-shoot. So I borrowed a camera, a canon xsi or xt1 something-or-other, (i'm not even going to start on that one except to say I love my Nikon! lol) and a 50mm F1.8 (for which I was quite grateful), and did a short mini-session. And these are my two favorite shots from that session...

...I still can't decide which one I like better, I LOVE the contrast in the B&W one, but the vibrance of the green (at least on my computer) well,...you know,...anyways, here they are. (And so ends ---Post Numba Uno--- )
